They lied to us?
Nah, couldn't be.
Just that one time right?
Whuuu, really...?
That many times...?
...
Now you're saying...
There's something else they lied about?
You don't say...

Lara Logan's appearance on CNN with Howard Kurtz was a well needed slap in the face for those who share the ridiculous belief that the media is somehow responsible for the bad news coming out of Iraq.

IN THIS VIDEO LL puts up a very strong defense for journalists in Iraq by explaining how security measures have restricted their access to locations of rebuilding efforts.
Understandably so, because the minute those utopian areas of Iraq begin getting media exposure, guess what happens...?

So, due to the fear of sabotage/acts of terror against women and children in the rebuilt areas, the military will not allow journalists in those areas to report; thereby leaving those journalists to report the ongoing and escalating conflict, which even in its own right can't be covered entirely.

Charlie Sheen's recent call for a new investigation into the events of 9/11 has gotten a fair portion of exposure from the mainstream media.
Most notably, on the Showbiz Tonight Show - CNN affiliate; the public feedback from both Sheen's and Alex Jones' analysis on the events of 9/11 were enough to create 2 strong follow up reports after the initial broadcast, which called to create a new, independent investigation into the events of 9/11 and a US government cover up.

As many may already be aware, there is strong support for this movement; an overwhelming amount of evidence from highly credible sources has garnered significant public support.

The question now remains, how many more will step forward?
As a result, the mainstream media will not be able to remain idle, as they themselves played a major role in capturing the truth, yet failed to report it as such.
The major tipping point on this issue must come with a large scale mainstream media assessment of the facts.
Only then will they and their viewers be able to determine the truth.

A recent poll by CNN shows that an overwhelming amount of Americans believe their government is not telling the truth about the events of 9/11 and intentionally misleading American citizens with a coverup.

Little by little, the facts have begun to effectively seep through the public psyche.
The most recent broadcast of Sheen and Jones along with the huge public outcry of support for this movement not only proves this much, but also that this belief has long been held by American citizens but not representatively reported by the mainstream media.
Could this mean the mainstream media is out of touch? Say it aint so.

All that can be asked of the American citizens is to remain curious and not vindictive of fellow American’s beliefs.
Don't make judgments until you, yourself have looked into and researched the data to draw your own conclusions, because one thing's for certain, the media won't do it for you.
We are the ones who will have to bring this forward, because the media has failed.

As an American, you are entitled to think and act for yourself. Don’t forget that.
As an American, you are entitled to question those in power. Don’t forget that.
As an American, and as a human being, you are entitled to the truth.
I'm afraid far too many have forgotten that.

As opposition to the Bush Administration grows irreversibly stronger, there remains a group of alarmingly, though understandably deranged people who continue to rally 'round the family with a pocket full of DVDs that show the rebuilding efforts in Iraq and claim that this is the answer to America's clouded perception of an illegal war.

This VIDEO on THINK PROGRESS shows how passionately unified these people are against the media and their reporting of the war.
Evidently, these people, as few and as powerful as they are, believe that the media are to blame for the war looking as bad as it does.

People applauding something Bush was told to say.

Never mind the fact that we are engaged in an illegal war that after thousands upon thousands upon thousands of deaths has lead us into an increasingly hostile Civil War.
Let's just show the rebuilding effort of select institutions, but of course, don't show them being destroyed again.
Given the destabilization of the ENTIRE region, and the absence of unified government and military, we just want Americans to get a decent night sleep where visions of sugar-coated, bullet-proof Halliburton construction hats dance in their heads.
Is that too much to ask?
Oh, and while you're at it, can you please destroy The Center For American Progress report on the 2006 first quarter of the Iraq War.
Here's the report (PDF)

As others may have noticed, this uproar comes on the day that we see Richard Engel, who is in Baghdad, definitively claiming that the situation in Iraq is much worse than what's being broadcast through American mainstream media.

Now, this sounds entirely more probable to me, given the fact that the mainstream media have been very reserved, if not entirely complicit with the Bush administration in avoiding many other pressing issues other than the Iraq War. MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY other issues.

So, I genuinely have to wonder...
Why are these people still so supportive of this war, let alone this administration?
Is it out of fear?
Why are they so increasingly defensive of opposition to this war?
Is it out of hate?
Desperation?
Why are these people suddenly, almost as if by an electronic alert system, attacking the media?

I just don't get it.

Somebody's gettin' grounded.
I'm watching C-Span streaming coverage of the Center For American Progress report on the 2006 first quarter of the Iraq War.
As most might have guessed, the report isn't very good, almost as bad as GW's grades. Here's the report (PDF)

Just what exactly have we gotten ourselves into?
Can we get ourselves out of it?

Is that how it works? Rove sticks to domestic sabatoge, Hadley handles it abroad? Interesting.

Bush to China: Look, we're gearing up for world domination, we just want to know how we can piss you off to get something destructive productive going. BTW, just so it's fair, our military government needs to know what your current military situation is like.

I wonder if they'll ever crack under the money pressure.
I think Google is just putting on a show though; playing hard to get.

What does 1 trillion dollars buy you these days?
A failed war.

With overwhelming foreign and domestic opposition, the Bush Administration and their web of payroll puppets are STILL seeking financial support to justify the ongoing war effort. Anyone remember when this war was originally reported to cost like 2 fitty?

It seems everytime we have the pleasure of witnessing their handy work, or actually hearing directly from them, these damn whitehouse BushCo. aids always seem to be fucking things up, by design of course.
So, without exception, we have Mr. whatever the fuck here telling us that Iran's bluffing. Which very well could be a possibility, but I'm much more likely to rule it out as a possibility when it's one of these lame fuckheads telling me.
